Founded in 1956 by Joe Funk and his wife, Byrna, Joe Funk Construction was incorporated in 1965. Mr. Joe began his career in construction soon after graduating from Southern Methodist University with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. After his stint with the Navy’s Construction Battalion during World War II, Joe went to work for a structural engineering company in Dallas, and later for a contractor who completed the Dallas’ City Hall and the Scottish Rite Hospital.
A strong foundation was established early on by the values and work ethic demonstrated by Joe and Byrna. The values of quality, integrity and personal care continue to have a primary influence on the business and people associated with the firm today. These principles remain at the core of our business philosophy as the company continues to build upon a reputation for superior quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction.
The company has established itself as a leader in commercial and municipal construction, and is well-known for a number of projects throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex illustrating the company’s talents, including innovative management and construction practices, diversity, expertise and stability.
Broadening our knowledge is an on-going process, enabling us to refine our expertise, and improve our operations and practice for the benefit of our clients.
